Tony Jamison is a native of Walterboro, SC! He is the Son of Rev. Norman and Theola B. Jamison. Jamison earned his first job in broadcasting at his home town radio station while still in high school and majored in Journalism at the University of South Carolina.
He is a 42 year veteran of radio and television whose career has taken him to cities like Detroit, Atlanta, San Francisco and back home to South Carolina. His career highlights include interviews with personalities like Bill Cosby, Muhammad Ali and Clifton Davis; political/historical figures like Dr. Benjamin Mayes, President Bill Clinton and President Barak Obama; and music celebrities Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones and dozens more.
Besides being ‘on air’ nightly from 7pm – 12 midnight, Tony Jamison also serves as Network Operations Director for Glory Communications. He is responsible for the technical and operational coordination of programming on 11 Gospel and Talk radio stations across South Carolina and Georgia.
Jamison is the father of four and grandfather of four. He and his wife, Mel, and their two twin boys are members of the Brookland Baptist Church in Columbia – where Rev. Charles B. Jackson Sr. is pastor.
