Keeping Listeners Informed & Entertained
To keep our listeners up-to-date and entertained during their morning commute. We start the day from 6am-10am, with the “Get Up” Mornings featuring National Gospel Recording Artist, Erica Campbell. She is joined Nationally by Christian Comedian Griff, and locally by Tony Gee. Local news is provided each weekday morning by WACH Fox 57’s Morning News host Fraendy Clavard. 95.3fm listeners hear great features like by the Jamal Bates Show, More Music Middays, The All Request Lunch Hour and the Praise Party. WFMV AM also produces a weekend public affairs program called ‘The Sunday Urban Scene’. The Sunday Urban Scene offers an in-depth look at issues facing the community with weekly guests and regular segments that keep listeners informed about upcoming events.
Celebrating Community
Each spring for the last 24 years, WFMV AM presents Family Fest; a day of family and fun. More than 10,000+ listeners attend Columbia’s Finley Park to celebrate gospel music, health initiatives and education. Local Choirs and National artist perform on the Sound Stage. This is the largest African-American outdoor event in the State of South Carolina.
Staying Involved
WFMV AM finds meaningful ways to give back to the community. One of our most successful projects has been the establishment of The Future Leader Scholarship Campaign. Scholarship awards are slated for students who are strong academically, but lack financial resources needed to attend college. WFMV AM coordinates the partnership of High School Guidance Counselors, Corporate Sponsors, Advertising Supporters and Individual Donors. To date, the fund awarded 271 students more than $256,000 in Scholarship dollars and has raised over $177,000 to support St. Jude during our annual Radiothon.

WFMV AM set music trends that spread across the country for inspirational radio. WFMV AM was named the 1995 Southeast Music Award Radio Station of the Year, the Stellar Award Station of the Year for 2007 & 2010, and Nominated for the Marconi Award for Religious Radio Station of the Year 2007-2010 & 2018. Nominated for the Radio and Records Gospel Station of the Year 2007-2010 and Nominated for the 2009 NAB Crystal Award.
